The $70,000 Lure Stakes will run as Race 5 on the October 25th card at Santa Anita Park.
The event for 3-year-olds and up will cover one mile on turf and include names like One Bad Boy, Murad Khan, and Gregorian Chant among the short field of six.

Betting Preview: One Bad Boy, Murad Khan
The morning-line favorite coming in at 2/1 is One Bad Boy, owned by Sayjay Racing, Greg Hall, and Brooke Hubbard. The 4-year-old son of Twirling Candy is trained by Richard Baltas.
He has a career record of 2-2-2 from seven starts and earnings of $556,732. He is still looking for his first victory this year.
His only 2020 start was a fourth-place finish in an August 29th allowance optional claiming race at Del Mar. To close out his 2019 season, One Bad Boy took third in the July 23rd Prince of Wales Stakes (Black Type) at Fort Erie. In 2019, he also won the June 20th Queen’s Plate Stakes (Black Type) at Woodbine and finished second in the May 19th Alcatraz Stakes (Black Type) at Golden Gate.
One Bad Boy will break from Post 3 under jockey Flavien Prat.
He will be up against the 5/2 second choice Murad Khan, owned by R3 Racing and Calara Farms. The 7-year-old gelding from Raven’s Pass is trained by Doug O’Neill.
He is an experienced runner with a career record of 8-4-4 from 28 starts and earnings of $245,652. His 2020 performances include one win, two seconds, and two thirds from seven outings.
He took second last time out in an August 21st allowance optional claiming race at Del Mar, where he registered a 113 Speed Figure. Some of his other runs were a third-place finish in the July 11th Wickerr Stakes (Black Type) at Del Mar, third in the March 21st San Simeon Stakes (G3) at Santa Anita, and a February 23rd allowance optional claiming victory also at Santa Anita.
Murad Khan will break from Post 4 under rider Abel Cedillo.
Betting Preview: Gregorian Chant
Another runner to pay attention to is the 7/2 Gregorian Chant, owned by Old Bones Racing Stable, Slam Dunk Racing, and Michael Nentwig. The 4-year-old gelding from Gregorian is trained by Phillip D’Amato.
He has a career record of 3-0-1 from 10 starts and earnings of $112,013. His 2020 runs include one win and one third from five outings.
The victory came last time out in an August 29th allowance optional claiming race at Del Mar, which followed a third-place run in another back on July 27th at the track.
Gregorian Chant will break from Post 5 under Juan Hernanadez.
The rest of the field (post, morning line) is set to include: Grecian Fire (Post 1, 8/1), Majestic Eagle (Post 2, M. Gutierrez), and The Black Album (Post 6, 6/1).
