I’ve been playing Borgata online casino blackjack (not the one with the live dealer). When the dealer gets a blackjack, the hold card is not flipped right away. Instead, the player is looking at an A or a 10 without knowing if the dealer has a BJ until the player either busts out, or stands. Then the dealer shows the blackjack and takes the money anyway. Why are they letting me hit on my hand that is already a loser?? I’ve never seen that in a real casino, let alone any other online blackjack games elsewhere.
Suppose I get an 11 and the dealer is showing a 10. If the dealer has a blackjack, they should flip the Ace over and take my money. Instead, maybe I want to double. The house will happily take my double bet. Then I hit a 10, for a 21 and the dealer flips over the Ace (BJ).
Another scenario – If the dealer has an Ace showing and I get a blackjack – they offer insurance, as with every time they are showing an Ace no matter what my hand is. If I decline the insurance, and the dealer and I BOTH have blackjack – they take my money. It’s not a push!?
