National Pasta Day is October 17 but let’s be honest – there really is no wrong day to enjoy good pasta.
Lucky for Las Vegas locals, there are countless dining options around the valley to enjoy. But there also is a big difference between good pasta and “OMG this is GREAT!” pasta. We’re hoping to share a few of the latter.
Below are five pasta dishes that we think are simply irresistible and must-try. If you’ve had any of them, we want to hear from you! Share your dining experience with us on Twitter or Instagram @stationcasinos.
Okay, enjoy chatter. Let’s get to the pasta!
The new kid on the Summerlin block has already made a name for itself.
Osteria Fiorella is a pasta pop-up turned permanent, due to its initial success. If the name “Marc Vetri” sounds familiar, that’s because the James Beard Award-winning chef is also behind Vetri Cucina in the currently-closed Palms. After making a name for himself with perfect pastas, pizzas, and more at Fiorella
Tides inside Green Valley Ranch is a bright room right next to the GVR Sportsbook. Many don’t know this, but Tides gets fresh seafood shipped to them 6 days a week, making them one of the freshest seafood restaurants in Las Vegas.
“Fresh” is key for Shrimp Scampi, and Tides doesn’t skimp on quality here.
Sometimes, a side is so good it should just be the main course. The Mac and Cheese inside Charcoal room is just that.
Walk into the Charcoal Room inside Palace Station and you’ll immediately get an “old school Vegas” feel. From the dimmed lights to the big, red booths, it feels like Vegas should feel. And of course, the classic decor is matched with classic Vegas hospitality.
Steaks and seafood towers are the go-to entrees at Charcoal Room but the side dishes truly don’t take a back seat. The Mac and Cheese is the perfect amount of richness and it will make you want to have this shareable dish all to yourself.
Dining is all about atmosphere, and Bottiglia inside GVR has one of the best in Vegas.
But the atmosphere at Bottigilia is matched by their beautiful food.is a classic Italian dish and Bottiglia nails it. The ripe san marzano tomatoes, indulgent pancetta, and sweet red wine combine for a dish that feels comforting and lovely.
Pasta Cucina is the best of both worlds – the room itself has a unique feel of an outdoor patio in an Italian city but it’s open to the casino floor which means you’re never too far away from the action.
One of the most popular dishes at Pasta Cucina is the Pasta Carbonara. The combination of egg, cheese, cured pork, and black pepper make for yet another comforting pasta dish done to perfection. The next time you’re in Henderson, stop by. You won’t regret it.
